JUNETEENTH 2021

My father was born and raised in Texas. Me, not so much. But when I was young, he told me about Juneteenth. Fast forward to 2021 and me getting to work on the first Juneteenth acknowledgement across NBCU. It was an honor and very enlightening. We visually leaned into the work we created for that year’s Black Heritage Month work while using the themes, emotions and meaning of that day for all of us.
